Live seems to be happening at a different pace in rural Ireland. A traffic jam is usually caused by a tractor or sheep crossing the road. People here still have the time for a chat with friends and neighbours they bump into in the supermarket or the street. The authentic laid-back lifestyle is very refreshing.

I want to show you this beautiful Irish county through my eyes. I am what is called a 'blow-in' by local people.  I moved to here nearly 20 years ago from Germany. Throughout this time, we discovered many hidden places that the blissfully ignorant tourist will miss and never experience. During these years, we showed the beauty of this county to many excited friends and visitors.

Why should you visit Kerry?

This is a great place if you love the outdoors, spectacular scenery with wonderful beaches and rugged mountains. There are plenty of activities for you to choose from: sailing, hill walking, diving, swimming, golfing, fishing, kayaking, cycling, ...horse riding. With all these, you will enjoy a beautiful scenery. Just prepare for any weather. It is beautiful here even if the sun doesn't always show up!
Kerry is a great place for a short two or three vacation or a longer holiday. Choose a cosy self-catering house for a longer stay or a B&B for a shorter stay or if travelling around.
